Through her practice, she offers patients opportunities for healing rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, providing compassionate and effective treatments for both the mind and body. Inspired by her own experience with Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nina’s passion for acupuncture stems from its ability to harness the body’s internal resources for lasting relief without invasive procedures.

In her treatments, Nina identifies the root causes of her patients’ health issues and utilizes acupuncture, gua sha, cupping, and moxibustion to address mental, emotional, and physical aspects comprehensively. Julie is a dedicated physiotherapist bringing valuable experience spanning both public and private healthcare sectors. She holds a Master of Science in Physiotherapy from Brunel University London and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of British Columbia. Erin received her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of British Columbia in 2006. Since then, she has specialized in adult communication, voice, and swallowing disorders. The majority of her career has been spent working at Burnaby Hospital in various patient care areas, including medical units, the acute stroke cohort, ICU, and outpatient rehabilitation. Erin also had the privilege of leading the Speech-Language Pathology department for 14 years as the Clinical Practice Leader, allowing her to build her leadership skills and advocate for her profession through regional project work. Erin has advanced certification in videofluoroscopic swallowing studies and flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallowing and voice. In 2023, Erin left her full-time position at Burnaby Hospital to transition into private practice. She has worked extensively with individuals who have suffered strokes, head injuries, Parkinson’s disease, dementia, and vocal cord damage. Erin remains current in her practice with ongoing clinical education. She is LSVT-Loud certified and has also completed Sheila MacDonald’s 12-module Cognitive-Communication Course for Acquired Brain Injury. Erin believes that learning is never done and continues to seek out new educational opportunities in her areas of interest. She is also a sessional instructor in the UBC SLP program, teaching Introduction to Motor Speech Disorders. Erin believes in a client and family-centered approach to care. She sees therapy as a respectful partnership between client and therapist that is guided by the client’s values, strengths, and preferences.
